what is a pre-order and how does it work?
A pre-order is the reservation of an item that is not yet available for sale, but will be soon.
In mixed order consisting of currently available and pre-order items, the products will be dispatched at two different times, but you will be charged only once for shipping fees. In any case, you will receive a confirmation email as soon as the package is shipped. Orders are processed once credit card authorization and verification have been obtained. Once your order was fully shipped we will change you the total amount of your order.
when will my order ship?
babycottons endeavors to ship purchases of in-stock items (meaning in warehouse) within 72 hours of receiving your order NOT including weekends. If an item included in your order is not in stock you will be notified promptly. Each address you instruct us to ship to, including gift-recipient addresses, is considered a separate order and is subject to applicable shipping charges. Orders are processed once credit card authorization and verification have been obtained. Once your order is processed we will send you an email with the shipping confirmation and tracking number.
when will my order be delivered?
Once your order has been verified and processed, the package will ship as follows:
Standard ground arrives within 3 to 5 business days
FedEx Smart post arrives within 5 to 10 business days
2nd Day arrives within 2 business days
Overnight arrives within 1 business day (Saturday and Sunday are not considered business days)
In-Store Pickup arrives within 3-5 business days. Before going to the store, make sure you have received an email notification that your order is ready to be picked up.

What is FedEx Smart Post? FedEx SmartPost is an efficient and cost-effective way of shipping light-weight packages by utilizing the United States Post Office (USPS) to finish the delivery of light-weight pacakages.
Note: Saturday and Sunday do not count as business days.
Note: Orders placed after 2:00 pm EST will be processed the following business day. Saturday and Sunday are not considered business days.

Pending order verification and credit approval, orders will arrive as specified above.
Orders placed with Standard Ground shipping will ship within 24-48 business hours. Express orders (FedEx 2Day and Overnight) submitted by 2 PM EST will be shipped on the same day. Saturday, Sunday and holidays are not considered business days.
Depending on stock availability your order may be shipped in separate packages. In any case you will be billed only once for the shipping method selected.
how much does it cost to ship my order?
We charge a flat fee for each type of shipping within continental US, regardless of the amount of items per order.
Free Ground: if order exceeds $100.00. Not valid on shipments to HI, AK, PR and international destinations.
Ground:$10.00 if order is less than $100.00
Free FedEx Smart Post: $0.00 if order exceeds $100.00. Not valid on shipments to HI, AK, PR and international destinations.
FedEx Smart Post: $7.00 if order is less than $100.00
There is NO charge for In-Store Pickup orders.
Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands are shipped via FedEx at a rate of $35 (including insurance). Please allow 5 to 10 business days for delivery.
Shipments to Canada Europe and other select international destinations are shipped via FedEx. The cost for this option is a flat rate of $50 ($60 with insurance) regardless of the size of the order. Estimated time of delivery varies greatly depending on the Customs control for each country. For Europe takes an average of 5 to 10 business days for delivery.

The fragrance line is not available for domestic "air/express" shipments or international destinations due to federal hazardous materials regulations.
Gift wrap is not available for international shipments. babycottons is not responsible for lost or stolen items shipped to international destinations. We strongly suggest you select the insurance option for your order.

will my order be taxed?
Applicable sales tax will be applied to all orders based on shipping address. For shipping to those States where we have a physical presence (please check our stores for a listing) we must charge the applicable sales tax. Please note that most our products are exempt from sales tax in MA despite us having a physical presence there your order will not be taxed if shipped to those States. If we do not have a store in your State then no sales tax will be applied to your order. No sales tax applies to international shipments
